  • We provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management via video-conferencing (SpruceHealth). Medication Management means prescribing medications, checking your response to medicine, and talking about things in your life outside of medication treatment.

  • PMHNP stands for Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. We are medical providers with prescription privileges specializing in psychiatry. After years in psychiatric nursing and advanced graduate training, we diagnose and create comprehensive treatment plans similar to psychiatrists, but with a holistic approach. We focus on medication management and provide brief psychotherapy, often recommending regular counseling for complete mental health support.

  • Yes, medications will be sent electronically to your preferred pharmacy.

  • We can prescribe non-stimulant/non-controlled medications for the treatment of your ADHD. Due to telemedicine rules, this practice cannot prescribe stimulants (such as Adderall, Vyvanse, Concerta, Ritalin).

  • Yes.

    We currently accept the following insurances:

    Optum, BlueCross and BlueShield Massachusetts, UnitedHealthcare, Oxford Health Plans, Cigna, Aetna, UMR, Oscar, UHC Student Resources, AllSavers UHC, Harvard Pilgrim, Meritain, Nippon, United Healthcare Shared Services, Allied Benefit Systems, Bind, Health Plans Inc.

    Additionally, this practice cannot take patients with Medicare or Medicaid.

  • Yes! We will provide you a Superbill to give your insurance for reimbursement of our fees. Please check with your insurance to understand what this means for you. How much you will be reimbursed varies by insurance plan.

  • The first revisit is typically 2 months after your initial appointment.

    If stable on present medication, visits occur every 3 months for the continuation of care and medications.

    Subsequent revisits for medication change’s or due to a period of instability will be done as needed.

    You may see us more often per your preference.

  • You will need an internet connection. Visits are conducted using the SpruceHealth app.

  • New appointments are scheduled for one hour and follow-up appointments for thirty minutes. If you have questions or concerns after or between your visits, you can directly text us.

  • You can reschedule your appointment online. There will be no charge when you reschedule unless it falls within 24 hours of your appointment, please see the late cancellation/no-show policy for more details.

  • No Show Policy

    No-shows and Late Cancellations will be charged $50 for the appointment.

    You may leave messages via secure messaging 24 hours per day.

    It is the patient’s responsibility to notify Full Moon Psychiatric, LLC of a cancellation at least 24 hours (1 day) in advance of the scheduled appointment to avoid the no show fee.

  • Late Arrivals

    If you arrive to your scheduled appointment:

    greater than 10 minutes late for all appointments;

    Your appointment will need to be re-scheduled.

    NOTE: Emergencies arise from time to time and a late cancellation cannot be avoided. The Full Moon Psychiatric, LLC management team will review emergency situations on a case-by case basis.

  • Our provider sees patients age 18 and older.

  • Upon scheduling an appointment, you will receive access to our patient portal to sign consents, policies, and provide pertinent history.

    We do require a credit card to be on file to charge for co-pays/deductibles/coinsurances, no show fees, and miscellaneous charges. You will always be notified of a charge before it is made on the card.

    We understand if there is an emergency and will work with you if you can't make an appointment.

    If you do not have insurance, your fee is due at the time of scheduling the appointment.

  • This practice does not prescribe controlled substances.

  • Text us via SpruceHealth, and we will go through it together.

  • Please message us on the SpruceHealth app. This form of communication is HIPAA compliant and secure. Phone calls are for urgent matters only or done so via appointment only.
